THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN'

Yesterday was Labor day.... Which means I spent last night being bored to tears. Turns out I wasn't the only one, as I got into a conversation with the Baroness Blackheart on the Book of Faces and it turned out that we both agree on a few things: namely how weird things have gotten lately. Click the read more button below to do more reading...

So yes, weirdness. I'm talking about drama. There is so much ridiculous drama going on within the community. And by ridiculous I mean it's like some master villain hit everyone with a juvenile ray. And that's just on the internets. In the real world we have "heroes" getting arrested left and right. Shotguns, assault, just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And the villains... *audible groan*. It seems you've got two choices nowadays. You get the "hero" that wants to be batman or kick-ass or you get a "villain" that's either the Joker (Hamill or Ledger - pick one) or freakin Bane...

"The times they are a-changin'" said the song, and They really are, but do they have to be?

The community seems to need a firm slap upside the head. I'm not talking a comedic three stooges bonk on the head, I mean a genuine "What are you thinkin about?" bitchslap upside the noggin, and honestly, I think it needs to start with the villains.

Sure sure, start your hate campaigns if you want (you'll never reach me, I'm in orbit, suckers!) but I'm serious. So many of the villains have lost perspective of why the villains call themselves villains in the first place. It is YOUR role as a villain to point out how over the top asinine the heroes are being. This isn't a difficult thing to do. Some heroes practically lay it all out for you.

This should be your primary goal - get the heroes on the right track, and if that doesn't appear possible, try to get them off the street.

And heroes... YOUR JOB IS TO HELP PEOPLE. This should be your primary focus always. Sit back and think about what that means. Does it mean bait patrols? Does it mean going out looking for crimes happening? does it mean donating food to the local food pantry? Does it mean handing out water and supplies to the homeless? Does it mean carrying shotguns on patrol? Swords? Does it mean patrolling at all?

I see way too many "heroes" acting villainous online and way too many "villains" pretending that they are Charles Manson or something equally stupid. Cut it out, stupids. You know who you are.

Or maybe you DON'T know who you are, which is where things start getting scary... I dunno.

Anyway, straighten up, people. We've all drifted from the path and we need to get out asses in gear.
