Well, it's a quiet day here in the Proto-dome. I like quiet days. they give me time to reflect upon the week, upon the things I have seen and done, and it gives me the ability to look down at all the silliness of the world. And there's a lot of it. Today my focus shifts to something I read on facebook stated by Caped Crusader Matches Malone. He said that he and his companions are NOT RLSHs. I found that highly interesting. Click Read More to Read More
You see, I look out across the interwebbed landscape and I see two side. The heroes and the villains. There are RLSVs and metavillains. They gather in different groups, and they have different allegiances and methods, but they all pretty much agree that they are doing the same thing. They are all here for the same purpose (yes, there are jackholes who are clueless. Let's not nitpick today)
Well, on the other side of the coin there are capes, masks, crusaders, RLSH's, X-Alts, RCSMs, blah blah blah. The funny thing about these groups is the amount of effort they spend claiming to be separate from the others. "We're not RLSHs!"
When I asked what Caped Crusader Matches Malone does, he described pretty closely the same thing that most RLSHs do... Essentially they dress up like superheroes and help people. Why does he claim they aren't RLSHs? Because someone told him that they do not approve of him and his group dressing up like established heroes.
A clearer picture is beginning to form in my mind. Hey heroes, I hate (love) to be the bearer of bad news, but... regardless of what you like to call yourselves, you're all the same thing. One in the same. Matching sets. The only differences are your creativity in costume design and your "mission focus".... ok, some of you are just plain wacky, but I'm not addressing them in this post.
Anyway, read this and let it sink in... maybe it will help settle some of the insanity that's been making facebook so entertaining. At least a little bit... maybe?

ReplyDeleteThank you, Anonymous. That wasn't a hyperlink though, that was an instruction to click the read more button below the first paragraph. Just for clarification, I modified the text to be more descriptive. Thanks again!
